Field Trip

Permission slips are due on Friday, 4/27, for the field trip to Launch Pad & the Poky Dot. Also, please complete the Launch Pad waiver on line by Friday.

Box Tops

The deadline to turn in box tops is Friday, 4/27. Please get them in ASAP!! Thanks so much.

HOMEWORK POLICY

The majority of homework is work not completed in class or assignments to prepare for a test or quiz. Homework will also be assigned for special projects or to practice a newly introduced concept.

Each homework assignment has an important purpose for the student. For this reason, I will notify parents if the assignment is not done or if it is turned in late or incomplete. The student will also be given a "demerit" and possibly a recess detention. Five demerits in a nine week period will result in an in-school detention.

Students are given many opportunities throughout the day to earn "Sticker Charts" that he/she may use to erase a demerit (only after the missing or late assignment is completed and turned in the following day signed by a parent). If not completed and returned as stated, the student will be given a zero and retain the demerit. Sticker Charts may also be used to add 5 points to a test or quiz grade (only after the student uses his/her textbook to correct the test or quiz.)

Demerits are given as consequences for unacceptable behavior. Sticker Charts are given as rewards for good behavior and achievements.
