Christmas Party, Wednesday

Permission slips for the Christmas luncheon are due on Monday.  The gift exchange will be Wednesday.  ($10 limit please)  On Wednesday we will be reading Christmas stories.  Students may bring in their favorite Christmas books to share.

Christmas Play

The annual Christmas Play was wonderful!  Thanks so much to parents and students for their support.  The students did an awesome job!

Class Christmas Party

The Sixth Grade Christmas Party will be on Wednesday, 12/21.  I have asked the students to tell me in advance if they are bringing any refreshments to the party.  I will post a refreshment sign up sheet.  Parents are invited to attend. We will do our gift exchange at the party.  There is a $10 limit on the gift.  Girls will purchase a girl gift and the boys will purchase a boy gift.

Christmas Play

The annual Christmas Play will be Thursday, 12/8, at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.  Parents please have the students at the school by 6:30.  Students are to report to the classroom where they will dress for the play.  Parents can pick up the students in the classroom after the play. 

Toys for Flood Victims

A large gift box is set up in the entry to receive donated new or gently used toys for the flood victims.  Students that donate will receive an extra ten bonus stickers.  Thank you for your support!!

Thanksgiving Break

There will be no school during our Thanksgiving Break, 11/21 to 11/25.  I hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed holiday.

Thanksgiving Celebrations

Our class will be having a Thanksgiving party on Tuesday, 11/15.  Any chips, cookies, paper products, and drinks are appreciated.

Middle School Basketball

There will be a Middle School Basketball team meeting on Monday, 11/7, at 3:00pm in the Old Gym for students and parents.  The purpose the meeting is to meet the coach and complete paperwork.

Literature Fair

The NLCA Literature Fair will be Monday, 10/10.  All students must have their projects set up Monday morning in the Old Gym.  We will follow the Literature Fair with "Drop Everything and Read Day" on 10/11.  Students are encouraged to bring their favorite books on Tuesday (10/11).

Meet at the Pole

On Wednesday will we not have our normal Chapel.  All students will gather around our flagpole where our upperclassman will lead us in prayer.  Sixth grade will lead the school in pledges.

Grandparents Day

Our annual Grandparents Day Celebration will be held on Friday, 9/30.  The children will provide entertainment.  The school will have early dismissal.

Prudential Spirit Of Community Awards Program

Applications to recognize students in grades 5-12 who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service are being accepted.  For additional information please see Mrs. Cole's blog (located under the Secondary tab).  Recognize our young volunteers!!

Literature Fair

The NLCA Literature Fair will be held 10/10 followed with the Nicholas County Literature Fair on 10/17.  All students have selected a book for their project.  Next week the class will be given a schedule of key deadlines to ensure that all projects are completed on time.

Weekly Bible Verse Challenge

Bible Verse Challenge has been accepted! Each week a student will be nominated to share with the class one of his/her favorite verses, challenging a new person each week.

6TH GRADE OPEN HOUSE

School starts Wednesday, 8/17/16!  Please join me for a 6th Open House on Monday, 8/15, from 5:30 to 6:30 at the school.  I am very excited to meet the students and parents.
