Thursday - Spelling test list 19 if needed; Math quiz on decimal/fraction equivalents; Memory verse due Ps 19:9
Friday - Science quiz; Math test

Young Writers

We will start working on the Young Writers project next week. All work must be completed in class. Everyone needs to have their idea ready on Tuesday to start the project.

HOMEWORK POLICY

The majority of homework is work not completed in class or assignments to prepare for a test or quiz. Homework will also be assigned for special projects or to practice a newly introduced concept.

Each homework assignment has an important purpose for the student. For this reason, I will notify parents if the assignment is not done or if it is turned in late or incomplete. The student will also be given a "demerit" and possibly a recess detention. Five demerits in a nine week period will result in an in-school detention.

Students are given many opportunities throughout the day to earn "Sticker Charts" that he/she may use to erase a demerit (only after the missing or late assignment is completed and turned in the following day signed by a parent). If not completed and returned as stated, the student will be given a zero and retain the demerit. Sticker Charts may also be used to add 5 points to a test or quiz grade (only after the student uses his/her textbook to correct the test or quiz.)

Demerits are given as consequences for unacceptable behavior. Sticker Charts are given as rewards for good behavior and achievements.
